Forgive and Live - Pastor Ben Dixon

We live in a world full of sin which regularly introduces various levels of conflict that we all must deal with. It’s not hard to get offended and become bitter and unforgiving which is the normal response of our flesh. Jesus stepped into this kind of world and showed us what real forgiveness looks like through His own sacrifice. By placing our faith in Jesus, we are completely forgiven of all our sin and made right with God. Not only do we receive forgiveness from Jesus for ourselves, but as His disciples we are called to follow His way by forgiving others when they sin against us. When Jesus taught about forgiveness, He showed us that it’s not merely an obedient action but an inward heart attitude. Therefore, we are called to walk with God in such a way where we constantly and consistently release what we have received - forgiveness!

Freedom From an Offended Heart - Pastor Ben Dixon

We live in a world that has seemingly normalized and legitimized being offended. At some point, we all feel the pressure to say one thing or not say another, and if we, somehow, fail to comply then an offended party is soon to follow. Do you know what I mean? Sure, real sins lead to real offense, and we deal with that specifically and directly as the Bible teaches. However, what about our perceptions, expectations, and even interpretations of what is going on around us? Jesus is not only the payment for our sins, but He is also the pattern for our life. And as we can see from Scripture He was not easily offended, nor did He carry offenses. Therefore, to be free from an offended heart means that we choose a Christlike response in the way we act, interact, and react to people and situations of life.

Breaking the Cycles of Pain - Pastor Ben Dixon

Freedom From Father Wounds - Pastor Ben Dixon

When Jesus began His ministry, He declared that He would set the oppressed free. Another word for oppressed could be “wounded.” Jesus is the Great Physician and He wants to perform surgery on our soul in the area of our wounding so that we are no longer held back from becoming everything He desires. If we are honest, most of us have wounds that come from our earthly fathers which hinders our relationship with our Heavenly Father.
