False prophets will intentionally lie by telling people what they want to hear in order to gain favor or even a following of others.  
-  The fundamental issue regarding false prophets is that they are not Christians, and therefore do not have the Holy Spirit living inside them. 

Have you ever felt like you’re beyond hope due to a past failure in your life? Well, you’re not alone! It’s not too late. That’s the name of the next message in Pastor Ben’s series in the book of Jonah. It’s not to late for what? For us to turn away from things that keep us from God and turn towards Him! It’s a great reminder that God’s always ready to pour His mercy upon us and everyone, as we turn our hearts towards Him.

God is everywhere and He knows everything. Today Pastor Ben continues his Jonah series and shares how it was impossible for Jonah to run away from God. And when he tries, there are great consequences, not only for him, but for the people all around him. We’re probably familiar with the story, but have we, like Jonah, fallen asleep? Do we need to wake up to the things God is calling us to?

All throughout Scripture we read about times in history where God’s people united together in prayer and fasting. We believe that this is such a time in 2020, so we are calling the body of Christ to press into God through prayer fasting during the month of August. As we seek God together in this way we expect that He will speak to us and move powerfully in our hearts and homes (Hebrews 11:6).
